The Australian firm uses the contents of the American version. They even went ahead and launched a website that is localized version of the American one. The original popular science magazine was into many projects, including sponsoring of films. They have also been known to launch a free ipad application which could deliver content from their website. They also launched the popular science predictions exchange where people could place bets on what the next innovations would be. The journal was sold off due to economic reasons.

Companies that have to engage in advertising should borrow a leaf from the magazine industry. Advertisement is a powerful tool, because it is what informs the public on what the company is selling and what the product is all about. The advertisement is solely reliable on how well the branding as being done. Magazines can be defined as a work of art from the way they bring out the color of the pages, the paper quality used, the colors chosen. A lot of time and money are invested in trying to come up with a great and unique cover page that will attract and appeal to its readers.

The topic for each issue is also well picked to stand out from other issues. If the many firms out there would take into great detail their advertisements as such issues, then the company would manage to sell their products without much effort because their advertisements, would have done most of the work. The reason being, branding is the cornerstone of a product, the process of manufacturing or delivering the service hardly counts, what counts the most is the end, the final product. Take, for example, the O magazine, an international issue, well refined with each consideration put in place, and the cover is always something to look for. Companies, therefore, should take up the challenge and start constructing more innovative and creative advertisements that will leave the audience wanting to buy more and more of the advertised products.
